It's World Kindness Day! It's amazing how a little bit of kindness can go a long way. Looking for ways to spread kindness? Random acts of kindness have become more popular, it seems, and I hope the trend continues. After all, wouldn't it be nice for the world to be a kinder place? Here are my top ways to spread kindness where ever you go.

Buy a stranger a cup of coffee. I worked at a coffee shop for four years. My absolute favorite was when a stranger would pay for the person behind them. When the next person was told their coffee had been paid for it made their face light up. They would then, in turn, buy a cup for the person behind them. It would create a chain reaction of joy, surprise, and delight. So many happy faces lighting up and it made my day. 

Smile at people. This one seems simple. I think most people smile at others when making eye contact. But how often are you smiling before someone makes eye contact? You can do your own research about the power of smiling through out the day and the benefits. This will brighten your day and might add extra spring to your step.

Send a note. It could be handwritten or electronic. Formal or familiar. Tell someone how much they mean to you. When was the last time you told your bestie why she is your favorite? How often do you tell your spouse the specific ways he makes you feel loved? Take the time to tell them. Whether it's a text, a gift, or a phone call, be kind to the ones closest to you and let them know they brighten your world.
